In 2015 at 19 she published her first single here. It was a huge hit and was praised by critics and listeners alike. It reached the top spot at 19th among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among 2015's Top Songs. Her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was the first of five tracks which reached the top of the charts on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. This track was special since, in light of the Rap-Up interview that she conducted, many of the listeners could connect to her experiences of finding love for themselves, as well as doubting herself. Cara is known for incorporating songs about mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. The music of Cara is directly from her struggle with mental illness and insomnia. In an Reuters interview, she describes her album as half tumultuous and half mastered. She claims she has grown by therapy and is adamant about encouraging others to seek help as needed. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996 of Italian descent parents. When she was 10 years older, her parents bought her a guitar, which was the foundation of her love for music. A few years later, at the age of 13, she started to cover her favourite songs on YouTube an important media platform in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and the determination to be the next singer. The cover she did, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her famous. EP Entertainment gave her the opportunity to create and record her own tracks.
