DMX began to rap in the end of 1990s. The rapper released his debut album The album It's Hot and Hell is DARK on May 19, 1998. The album was followed by other releases including... Then There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album was released in 2001. titled... as well as There was X received an Grammy nomination in the category of Best Rap Album.
